Leonard Quaile - Principal

Mr. Quaile joined the staff at Dakota Adventist Academy in the summer of 2006. With 28 years of experience in the education field, he also serves as the Education Superintendent for the Dakota Conference. Mr. Quaile holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Atlantic Union College/Walla Walla College and a M.Ed. degree from Walla Walla College. In his free time, Mr. Quaile enjoys flying, carpentry, canoeing and sailing.


 

David Chapman – VP for Finance

Mr. Chapman joined the staff at Dakota Adventist Academy in the summer of 2002. After spending a few years as the DAA principal, he now spends his time in the finance office and teaches Physics. His 20+ years of experience in the education field are a valuable asset to DAA.


 

Janna Quaile – Registrar/Secretary

Mrs. Quaile joined the staff at Dakota Adventist Academy in 2006. She is the friendly face in the office and does a great job keeping everything running smoothly. In her free time, she enjoys baking and gardening.


 

Gary Way – Art/English Teacher

Mr. Way joined Dakota Adventist Academy in the summer of 2002 and has been busy developing a four-year art program. With 21 years of teaching experience, he is a valuable asset to the school with additional responsibilities including National Honor Society and Intramurals. Mr. Way holds a B.S. and M.A. degree from Walla Walla College and the University of Southern Idaho respectively. When he’s not in the classroom, he enjoys skiing, bird watching, camping, backpacking, drawing, canoeing, photography, travel and all sports.


 

Russell Haveman – Auto Body/Maintenance

Mr. Haveman joined the staff at Dakota Adventist Academy in 2004. He enjoys teaching Auto Body and doing maintenance around campus. You’ll also see him driving the bus as the students head out for road trips. His students recently finished 1st and 2nd in the Skills USA competition. Mr. Haveman enjoys anything that involves automobiles and fills his free time with such activities


 

Janet Way – Food Service Director

Mrs. Way has been at Dakota Adventist Academy since 2002. If you are looking for a good meal, she always has one waiting in the cafeteria. With a Bachelor’s degree from Walla Walla College and a Master’s degree from Andrews University and nine years of teaching experience, she is a valuable asset to DAA. In her free time, Mrs. Way enjoys weaving and reading.


 

Jerry Davis – Plant Service Manager

Mr. Davis has been at Dakota Adventist Academy since 2005. In addition to leading out in the maintenance department, he also has assisted with food service. Mr. Davis holds an Associate Degree from Union College and has spent 14 years in education. In his free time, he enjoys skiing.
