Music Festival Brings Schools Together

Music has become a part of the everyday life of a Dakota Adventist Academy student.  Daily classes include choir, bells, band and DAK, not to mention private lessons and personal practice.  Opportunities to share their music with churches and community members come frequently, providing performance outlets for their talents.  Mr. Way even plays classical music in his classes!  Yes, music plays an important role in the students' education at DAA.

Poetry Outloud

Eleven competitors, the top two from each class and three runners-up, participated February 11 in the school-wide Poetry Outloud competition at DAA.  The top three winners are Leanna Quaile (11th) in first, David Chapman (12th) in second, and Matthew Boyko (11th) in third.

Talent Show

The annual Student Association Talent Show was held on Saturday night, following National Honor Society Induction vespers.  There were twelve acts in total, falling into either the category of comedy or serious.

The National Honor Society organization recognizes and promotes scholarship, service, leadership, and quality character across the country. The majority of American high schools have a chapter and DAA is no exception!

The annual Pathfinder Bible Bowl was also held at DAA on January 30 featuring eleven teams of Pathfinders from around North and South Dakota.
