Senior Recognition Vespers
Friday evening vespers on January 29 was a special event for the entire Dakota Adventist Academy family. The DAA staff and students, as well as the families of the seniors join together to honor the twelve seniors and the talents they lend to the school. Senior Recognition is always a time of reflection over the past four years and a look to the future of the seniors. The guest speaker for the evening was Mr. Bruce Kimball who counseled the seniors to not lose their enthusiasm for God and for life and reminded them to not let doubt cloud their dreams. The highlight of the evening were the tributes paid to the seniors by their respective parents. Some parents’ tributes were humorous, many were quite moving, and all used a little of both to create touching tributes. Remembering struggles and victories, the tributes provided encouragement for the next 5 months till graduation as well as advice for the adult years to come. As the twelve seniors look toward May and beyond, we are excited to see what the talented Class of 2010 will accomplish.
